Do you guys think Willy Wonka and William Afton would get along?
They totally wouldn't, but imagine that duo and imagine them as the world's best crack ship. Like. Look at them, okay.
I have a few other drawings of them that I could show, but just think about it. Let it sink in is all.
Do you want to see my other art for them??

Introducing ✨A Bastard✨
Vampire!Karl for BG3/DnD/whatever-the-fuck based off of a joke horny tweet I made last year and becoming real the moment I started playing BG3 ALKSFJDGHFSJADK-
A powerful Half-elf Vampire (true, not turned) who is an Artificer with Wizard sub-class, meaning he can and will fuck your day up and laugh about it. Also he spams Witch Bolt constantly and everyone hates him for it. Also Emelias partner who the Nautiloid stole her from in the beginning of the game uwu They do end up finding eachother again after the events of the game but I do need to actually get there to properly think it out, though I have a vague idea. Astarion isn't a big fan but he gets over it.
#before you ask if I have any shame the answer is no#the boys do end up getting along but not until after some insane possessiveness from Karl and some talking between them#yes Star knew about Karl before the romance with Emelia and yes he still loves her#I have a whole storyline in my head that I may or may not play around with but I will answer any questions uwu#oc#resident evil oc#resident evil village oc#re8 oc#karl heisenberg#heisenberg#lord heisenberg#re8 heisenberg#heisenberg x oc#karl heisenberg x oc#bg3#baldurs gate 3#au#alternate universe#bg3 au#baldurs gate 3 au#bg3 astarion#astarion#astarion x tav#astarion x oc#lovelywingsocs#lovelywingsart

a snippet of THUSIA
“Helloooo? Anyone there? It’s urgent!” said the voice.
I could’ve rolled my eyes hard enough to go permanently blind. Instead, I took a careful step back from Emelia, who dropped her hands and focused on trying not to burst out laughing. I did my best to smooth my face into a professional mask and turned around to see a tiny old woman standing impatiently in the doorway. She looked straight through me, and I immediately let the mask drop.

Random Girl - Lando Norris x Actress! Reader
Plot: Y/N being spotted in the most random places you could think off and its gets to the point where people joke that they wouldn't be shocked if she posted a story from the ISS.
Lando knew his girlfriend was a bit ditzy, but that was the whole appeal that she came with. However, what he didn't expect was when he was at race weekends by himself that she couldn't attend, he'd get notifications from gossip pages, new articles and pap pages showing his girlfriend to be spotted in the most random places possible.
It first started when they had only been dating for a few months, they'd met in the McLaren paddock where she'd been invited to a GP and brought her motorsport loving father along with her. They'd hit it off immediately. Lando was shy, having this well known actress talking to him like she'd known him all his life and kind of fumbled at the opportunity to ask her out to dinner after the race.
Of course, you had swooped in asking him yourself.
After those few dates, you both became busy. Crazily enough he still didn't know much about you. Obviously he knew enough, like your age and that you were from England and all of those other weird Wiki facts that people added to your profile after you'd stated them in interviews.
So when he saw a news article that was a picture of you, in what he deemed to be loungewear on a countryside town in the UK helping your dad out mucking the stables he couldn't help but texting and asking where you were.
When you'd replied at home, it made more sense but he was shocked as you seemed like the definition of a London city girl.
And of course you were a London City girl, but that didn't stop you going back home, to your routes and getting your hands a little dirty.
After this, you were then cast in the GranTurismo movie as Audrey the girlfriend of Jann Mardenborough. You made friends with Emelia Hartford, Archie Madekwe, Joshua Stradowski, Darren Barnet and Sang Heon Lee. Of course you were already familiar with Orlando Bloom and David Harbour having acted with them before.
It was funny however, how it wasn't public knowledge that you and Lando were an item yet and you were in a movie to do with racing. You both found it bazar, but it also wasn't the usual type of movie you were in. So when fans watched and then realized who you were rumored to be dating it all made sense.
The next was he was in his drivers room with his team mate Oscar, they were both aimlessly scrolling through TikTok waiting for their typical Thursday media duties when all of a sudden Oscar practically spat his water out, choking on it.
"Mate that's disgusting" Lando complains flicking the spitty water off his wrist.
"Tell me why your girlfriend is on my TikTok for you page weightlifting in the middle of London!" he asks rewinding the video just to make sure he wasn't seeing things and that it was you.
Without a doubt, it was you. Even with sunglasses and a Mclaren cap covering your face from the general public, he knew it was you. Not only could he tell it was you because he'd seen you so many times in the paddock and hanging out with his own girlfriend Lily that he'd introduced you to and you'd both become fast friends. But the noticeable thing was the massive keychain you were holding.
You were known for loosing stuff, so one Christmas the grid decided to all get you something to attach to your house and car keys. So whenever you left the house you didn't loose them. There was a pink fluffy ball attached that Max had got you, your Mclaren Car Key was showing, the Pirelli wheel Lewis had got you. The picture of you and Lando, Lando had got for you, there was an Yves St Laurent charm from Lewis and much more but it was so specific that Oscar knew it was you.
"What do you mean my girlfriend is weightlifting on your tiktok" he asks crawling onto the sofa from the ground that he was sat on, budging up closer to Oscar and looking over his shoulder to where he phone was playing the small segment.
There you were, placing your keys into your bag before hitching it high up on your arm and lifting the weight. It was heavy and from the rest of the video not many other people had managed to do it. However you there, in your high heels and short skirt you lifted it up no problem. He knew it was in your range as you often would work out with him, and sometimes you had a better stamina than he did. That was because of some of the movies you'd had to train for in the past, making you have a really serious work out regime.
The crowd applauded you before you did a kind curtsy taking the drink from the guy who was recording the video. As you lifted your glasses up taking a drink, people stared to recognize you and started to ask for pictures and autographs. The video cut out to the next lifter before he could see what occurred from the fans that were around you.
"Babe what the hell is this on Oscar's titkok of you weightlifting for free drinks from randoms in the street! Are you okay did you get mobbed? The video cut out before we could see anything. My god its so dangerous you shouldn't be out alone!" he scolds before even saying hi to you.
"Hello to you to Lando" he laugh and he sighs.
"You shouldn't do stuff like that baby, I worry!" he explains and you just giggle.
"I was fine Lan, I had security waiting for me behind the camera and there wasn't too many people! I was fine and got home all safe!" you smile into the phone rolling your eyes at your mum who was awing at how cute he was being. After a while he hung up needing to go for media duties.
Then during your first summer break together, you, Lily, Oscar and Lando all wanted to go on holiday together. So you all suggested somewhere you wanted to go, that couldn't be your home. So Lando suggested Lapland, Lily suggested Bali, Oscar suggested Greece and you suggested Florida, specifically Disneyworld so of course, yours had to be picked being the most likely place to be seen.
And of course if you were going to Florida you had to bring Logan... so obviously when pictures were released of you and the others being toured round the parks by a cast member and finding yourself building cars in Test Track in Epcot and Lando making a Lando Log out of it. The parks were extra busy when you guys went as well so you had to have your security walk round the parks with you, so you guys just drew all the attention to you.
After this you were in New York, filming the ending of the movie you were currently the lead in. So you couldn't come to the first race after summer break.
So when Lando was chilling out at home after the first race waiting for you to land back in France so he could drive and get you, he was watching TikTok's. He was aimlessly scrolling until he saw a video that was those ones where people go up to strangers with headphones and ask what they were listening too.
The guy clearly had no idea he was talking to you, a very famous actress but Lando once again was shocked how you seem to get yourself into these situation.
You politely take one airpod out and offer him a sorry i didn't understand. He asks what song your listening to and your reply had Lando bursting out laughing as it was Voulez-Vous by ABBA. He watched as you walked off with the song playing in the background as you took note of the camera and waved with a big grin.
He checked the comments knowing there would be an outrage that the guy didn't know who he was speaking too. And he was right of course.
-user1: how has my guy fumbled like that in front of Miss Y/N
-user2: no way my guy didn't know he's speaking to the richest young actress out there right now...
-user3: boy don't know Y/N Y/L/N and he's into F1... blunder fr
-user4: it's so funny where Y/N is caught out and how normal she is, she's just one of us at the end of the day
-user5: Y/N is spotted anywhere fr
The next time was when your mugshots got released, now this was the one that Lando found the most shocking. But after hearing your side of the story he was laughing and your manager eventually got the LAPD to apologize for their actions and their mistreatment.
"So Y/N some pictures were released of you ahead of this weekend following a big apology from the Los Angeles Police Department. Can you explain to us what happened?" the F1 interviewer asks and you chuckle a little.
"Yeah, its actually really funny considering i spent the day in a holding cell because no-one could get hold of me. So i was driving to set to start filming, and I was pulled over. I still don't know what I was actually pulled over for, they never ended up telling me. But when i was asked for ID i accidently handed over my Fake ID from the movie set. Once i realized my mistake I stupidly forgot we were in America where officers are a little more hands on and he decided to arrest me for handing a fake id to an officer of the law and interfering with an ongoing investigation. Obviously once people from set realised i wasn't just late they came down to the office and explain what i was trying to do, they re watched the footage from both my dash cam that was on me, and the officer's footage and it was deemed as an unlawful arrest so they let me go. I have no idea who leaked the mugshots but I still look good!" you exclaim making the interviewers laugh.
"That's quite the story Y/N, what do you get yourself into!" he offers making you laugh even more.
In the winter season, you taken some time off so you could travel round with Lando both for his last few races and his winter break, you spent his off season with him travelling from Bali, to Australia, to Finland, back home, and then to Thailand. But you had one request and that was to go tAmerica or South Korea to watch a KPOP concert.
You wanted to see StrayKids live, and so Lando not only got you front row tickets but also came with you to their LA show. You were sat in a normal bit of the crowd with other fans who when they noticed it was you were screaming before the artists themselves even came on.
It was even more funny when the group came out on stage and it took them 4 songs before they recognised you.
"Holy shit guys is that Y/N Y/L/N?" Chris asks looking down at the crowd where you were sat.
"Huge fan!" Hyunjin shouted, even though you had worked together before in Versace as Brand Ambassadors. Same with Felix and Yves Saint Laurent. Fans went crazy at the interactions happening and when it went viral later people only commented on the fact that you were just casually at a KPOP concert with your F1 driver boyfriend.
The next time was when Lando, who wasn’t opposed to going to a casino himself walked in on his girlfriend after a race at a casino. She was there at the Poker Table with winning chips animatedly talking to the dealer.
“Babe?” He’d asked you with a laugh surprised to see you here!
“Omg baby! Hi the guys said you were coming here and I wanted to surprise you but I ended up coming here a few hours to early and now I’ve won 30k. I’m thinking I’ll get you a new watch with that” she grins as if this 30k has just changed her life. When they know that 30k is absolutely nothing to her.
“You, how do you find yourself in these situations” he laughs looking over at you before tossing one of your chips into the pile looking at your current cards.
“Hey bet with your own money baby!” You frown at him everyone around the table laughing.
“Are we at the high stakes table right now?” He asks looking round and seeing some familiar faces of very rich men.
“Yeah baby why?” You ask nonchalantly, like it was nothing.
“My god, okay let’s wrap this up and go meet everyone else at the club”
And the most recent time was when you started live streaming from the top of the HollyWood sign after making the long climb up there.
Lando just watched from Bahrain, at pre- season testing while you were just climbing up to the Holly wood sign and showing the world where you were currently at.
He did worry for a second about your inability to know what you should and shouldn’t be showing the world and when. But when you panned round to show the two security with you in casual gym wear he was more settled.

The new fic was wonderful, I cant get enough of Em and Max I hope you never stop writing about them! That being said, I'm curious, would you write about one (or all four!) Times Max had to run around a city looking for Emelia?
Okay I’m sorry about how this turned out 🫣 I know in the fic it referenced that Max didn’t know there was a problem and only found out once she left but I am taking some artistic license with this being one of the four times! Don’t hate me 🫠
I did actually start a different one featuring Emilia’s dad so I may finish that one and we will get a funnier/more on brand instance of Emilia running away but…I hope you enjoy this one in the meantime!
✨Set in September 2021✨
They nicknamed her “The Bolter”
Max watches the sunrise in total, deafening silence. He thinks at some point he gets up to feed the cats. He thinks, but he isn’t sure. He’s so tired. His eyes are watering. It’s not tears. He can’t sleep. He wants to. He doesn’t want to. It doesn’t matter if he wants to, he can’t. He can’t sleep knowing you’re not home. He can’t sleep not knowing you’re safe.
He looks at his phone again. He has it on loud and on vibrate but he still checks. Still hopes.
Daniel: Did you hear from her?
Lando: She’s not answering me sorry
Clara Albizzi: You fucked up
That last one makes me feel sick. He did fuck up. He knew the second he’d said it. The way your face just fell and you couldn’t look at him. The way your shoulders hunched over.
You’re the reason she’s not here!
You hadn’t even packed a bag. Hadn’t even taken keys for a car. You’d just picked up the shoes that were lying in the hallway and left.
And he’d let you.
It had taken everything in him to stand still and let you leave, even as the fear set in. Fear that smelled like freshly cut grass and petrol. Fear that felt like crisp night air. Fear that looked like headlights in the dark.
The restraint had only last a few minutes.
You had blocked him, of course. So he’d called your friends. He’d ended up calling half of Monaco including more drivers than he ever spoke to regularly. Everyone denied hearing from you. He’d actually driven to Daniel’s to confirm his story that he wasn’t home. Max wondered more than once if you’d earned more loyalty from his colleagues than he had. Even if one of them was lying to him, at least you were safe.
But he couldn’t take the chance that you really hadn’t ended up at someone’s place. You didn’t have you bag with you, or even comfortable shoes. You couldn’t pay for a cab. It was that thought that had sent him to the Hotel de Paris. It was your favourite hotel in town, you even checked in for staycations sometimes. They would have your information, so you wouldn’t even need a credit card. The receptionist had refused to tell him if you were staying there - illegal, apparently - but something about his appearance must have incurred her sympathy, because she’d said that they hadn’t had any unexpected guests.
That had sent him to Sass Café. A long shot, because you didn’t usually self medicate alone, but he’d tried anyway. Fifty times he thought he’d seen you across the room as he’d weaved his way through the hoards of people. Normally he could spot you anywhere but when all he wanted was to see you he’d seen you everywhere.
By the time he’d got home, some time in the wee hours, Max could feel himself starting to shut down. As he’d called your name to no response and checked your room to find it empty, he could feel himself starting to get cold. He’d sat down on the couch, intending to think about what he was going to do next, but the thoughts had started to get away from him. The memories of the last twelve hours began to fold in on themselves, becoming smaller and squarer and so too did the feelings. The anger, the frustration, the panic, the disappointment, it all got more manageable, packing itself away in the corner in his mind that Max had so often found himself hiding in.
Even the fear had gone. The fear had gone somewhere around 5.30 am, when the darkness started to wane. As he sat on the couch and watched the sky go from black to blue to the colour of the dress you wore to Luka’s christening, his leg stopped shaking, his fists unclenched, and the tightness in his chest disappeared.
Finally, emotions had given way to a familiar and encompassing emptiness. Max just felt numb.
You’re the reason she’s not here!
What had he even been so angry about? He could almost laugh at himself. He hadn’t been angry. He’d been embarrassed. You’d told him you’d found underwear that wasn’t yours in the washing machine and he’d been so fucking embarrassed. And then he’d thought, what did he have to embarrassed about, and he decided in a split second it must be because you were judging him, and who were you to judge him when you were the reason he was fucking random girls in the first place. His relationship had ended because of you.
You’re the reason she’s not here!
Except you weren’t the reason. Not really. It had been Max’s choice and he knew that. Max needed you more than he’d wanted her and he had never once regretted that choice, although wherever you were, you probably thought he did.
He almost wishes he could feel all of it. Whatever it is that’s been forced under the surface because he can’t deal with it. He can’t feel anything. His eyes are sore and unfocused and they sting.
He drags a hand over his face. He should do something. Get flowers, or call the police, or…anything. But he doesn’t. His limbs don’t move. He just sits there…like he’s waiting for someone to pick him up.
You’ve got to come back.
Don’t worry, Max. They always come back. You’ll apologise. You’ll do better next time.
His eyes water again. This time it might be tears.
Somewhere behind him, one of the cats meows. Maybe he didn’t feed them after all.
“Max?”
At the sound of your voice, Max’s head turns so fast his neck hurts. He blinks furiously at the sight of you. For a second he thinks he’s imagining you.
“I brought strudel,” you say, holding up a small folded pastry box.
Max gets up before his he tells himself to. He wants to pull you into his arms, the urge to do it is the only thing he’s felt in hours, but stays still. You’re back, but that doesn’t mean he’s forgiven.
“I’ve been looking for you everywhere,” he says. His voice sounds hoarse.
“Not everywhere, clearly,” you say with a shrug.
“I went to Sass, Daniel’s, I called Lando, Alex, Clara, Zita,” he says, as if trying to prove that he’d tried. “I went to the hotel to see if you were there. I’ve been around the whole city all night, I didn’t sleep,”
“Oh.”
You look a little sheepish, almost guilty, as you make your way to the kitchen. Max follows, too far behind for his liking but he’s still too scared to get closer.
He sits on one side of the island and you stand on the other. He really takes in your appearance now. Hair up, no make up. Wearing a pyjama shirt. Where the fuck did you get pyjamas? He doesn’t care. His eyes run over you one more time. He might never let you out of his sight again.
“Don’t scare me like that,” Max admonishes, though there is no strength behind his words.
“Don’t piss me off like that,” you retort, and there’s strength behind yours.
The look you give him cuts like second place, and he looks away. He looks out to the balcony. The sky is cobalt now. What time is it?
“Did you mean it?” You whisper into the silence.
Max looks at you now. “No.”
“But-“
“No.” This time it’s an oath.
You shake your head as you open the pastry box. “Max, you obviously kind of meant it,” you say, turning to pick up two plates from the counter. “And I don’t blame you. I know I’m the reason you and-“
“You’re not the reason,” Max insists. “She’s the reason. She thought…she made that choice. And yeah, a part of me is still angry about it, and I cannot talk to her so I took it out on you. That wasn’t right and I’m sorry. I don’t know why I even- I’m sorry. It was my fault,”
Take responsibility. It’s your fault. You caused this to happen. If you don’t like the outcome then stop making people angry.
“I’m sorry,” he says again, quieter this time. Even to his own ear it sounds a little more desperate.
You stare at him, eyes narrow, like you’re trying to read him, and Max almost flinches under the scrutiny. Finally, your face softens, and you sigh. Something in your posture eases.
“Max, it’s okay,” you say gently. “People fight. I just felt like shit and you know how I get. You’re fight, I’m flight, remember? I was…anyway, it doesn’t matter. We’re okay, right?”
“Yeah,” Max says. “Of course.”
You don’t look like you believe him, but he’s telling the truth. If you’re okay, then he’s okay. If you’re there, then he’s okay. If you’re home then that’s where he wants to be.
You shuffle around the island with two plates of strudel, padding on bare feet towards the living room with Max in hot pursuit.
“Where did you go?” He asks, now noticing that not even your shorts are the ones you left in last night.
“The Maybourne,” you explain, settling on the corner of the couch, legs outstretched. “The concierge gave me some spa pjs,”
Max takes a seat next to you, further than normal but closer than he’s been to you in what feels like forever.
“I’ll pay you back for the room,” he says with a rueful smile.
“Yeah, I think you will,” you say haughtily, and Max forced himself to laugh. There must be something in his expression that tips you off, though, because your face falls. “I’m sorry I left,”
Please don’t ever do that again.
The words are on the tip of his tongue but he swallows them. He doesn’t ask. He can’t. He has no right to ask you that, because no one can ever promise not to leave and he can’t promise to be worth staying for.
“It’s not the first time,” Max says with a chuckle, nudging you with his elbow. “I’m used to it by now,”
You roll your eyes and turn on the tv, flipping through to find the Moto GP race as Max yawns. The buzz he felt at your return is wearing off and the exhaustion is creeping up on him. He doesn’t want to sleep yet, though. Not when you’re still in his periphery. It’s stupid, but some part of him needs to be consciously in your presence for a while.
“Max, you can go to bed, if you want. I know you didn’t sleep,”
“No,” he says, a bit too quickly. He imagines that he blushes when you notice. His cheeks certainly burn. “I’m just….I’m fine here.”
You reach over to pick up a pillow and lay it on your lap. “At least lie down,” you say, patting the pillow like you do to get one of the cats to sit on you. Max hesitates, but only for a moment, because he’d do just about anything you told him right now.
He settles his head on the pillow, eyes fixed on the tv. He used to do this with his mum, he remembers. The first night joke after being with his dad for months, she’d put on a movie and Max would lay his head in her lap while they watched. He doesn’t think he’s ever told you that.
Your hand running through his hair is like a little jolt of energy, somewhere above him he hears you giggle at the shiver that goes through him. You don’t stop, though, finger massaging his scalp. It quiets all of his nerve endings.
“You need a haircut,” you tell him. He knows what you’re doing, but he can’t bring himself to care. As long as it’s you doing it.
“Yeah,” Max agrees. It’s the last thing he says before he finally falls asleep.

As we get closer to the wedding of Prince Max and Dr. Alanna Lynn, the royals have increased their engagements for the next few weeks. To kick off the in-person and virtual events, Crown Princess Emelia and her brother, Prince Max, were on the series 3 premiere of Drunk History Haven.
The future married Prince opened the episode with an animated retelling of the heartbreaking story of King Lionel. The late monarch was openly gay, but his grandmother, Queen Annabelle, forbade him from marrying the love of his life, Count Fredrick Williams. The young Prince became emotional telling the story, thanking his ancestor - who created the first Haven pride - "for paving the way for people like [Prince Max] to be open in this world."
While Prince Max's appearance was known nearly a year in advance, the Crown Princess's appearance was a surprise for the 3.8 Million viewers. As she drank a N. Walker - a specialty lager from Pleer; brewed by the late Sir Drake Walker* - our favorite royal retold the story of Justina, Queen Consort. The late Queen was mother of Queen Francesca the II. Justina's miserable marriage and messy divorce from King Roland is infamous in Haven history. The two queens were key figures in the second War of the Rhys that almost occurred.
Fans were in stitches seeing the Crown Princess intoxicated. Of course, there was some backlash; people believing it's not fitting of a Princess and mother to be drunk. The episode sits as the highest viewed premiere in the last five years. The highlight was definitely when Crown Princess Emelia spoke about King Roland and remarked, "infidelity seems to be genetic" before sipping her drink. A little shade to her brother, the Duke of Harkne. If you don't know, where have you been?
Was this a good Drunk History episode? Are you against drunk royals? Share in the comments and stay tuned for more Gossip Queen.
*Sir Drake Walker was the best friend of King Liam, and godfather to the Crown Princess. He opened his third brewery in Pleer, to celebrate his daughter, Lady Zenobia, being titled the Countess of Pleer on her wedding day.

FFXIV Write 2024: 6 Halcyon
(2,480ish words taking place about 20ish years before ARR...)
“Papa! The caravan’s here!”
Rashae stood at the front of their stall, leaning over the counter to see farther down the street. Beyond her, he could indeed see the first of the wagons rolling in.
“Gather your siblings and cousins,” he said. “They’ll be weary from the trade routes and we’ll do our part to lighten their load as we welcome them in.”
Rashae nodded and dashed off. Tanzel joined the other men and women of their Cooperative in leaving his store to ensure the warehouse doors were open and the stables ready to accept the chocobos and their cargo. Friends and relatives greeted one another, separated by weeks or months since they had all left Davarresh for this trade season, plying the wares around the island, with some like Tanzel’s family coming straight to the capital.
He grinned as he saw one of the wagons belonging to the Ranaz family. “Jin!” he called, catching a glimpse of his oldest friend.
Jinrahn turned, smiling broadly to return the quick hug Tanzel gave him. “Good to see you, brother!” Jinrahn said. “It’s good to be home.”
“Until we go home to Davarresh when the wind cools. How was the road?”
“Dusty and hot, as always,” Jinrahn said. “But we’re a little lighter than normal for finishing out the season.”
“That good, eh?”
“Well, I had more charming help than usual.” Jin’s smile faltered slightly, a sympathetic tinge to it that Tanzel did not understand, until he followed his friend’s gaze to the two women wrangling the Ranaz children into some semblance of order. He knew Jinrahn’s wife, but the other woman took him a moment to recognize.
“Is that Emelia?”
“It is,” Jinrahn said. “She and her children arrived just before we left the village. That never ending war the Coerthans somehow have with their dragons—imagine!—claimed her husband.”
“I thought she’d married a farmer?”
“Aye. Something about giving succor to a soldier, some hero I guess, and got caught in the conflict. Lost their house and all. So she came home finally. She can still charm the stingiest Arkasodara grandfather into buying more than he meant, too.”
Tanzel nodded. It had been a shock to everyone when Emelia Ranaz had remained in Coerthas, having fallen in love there, after scorning the attentions of every local boy and even a few girls who had looked her way as she had blossomed from Jinrahn’s skinny little sister into a lovely maiden trained in bardsong.
Well, she was still Jinrahn’s little sister, that they had by turns teased and avoided as boys. At least until she turned and saw Tanzel, taking a moment to recognize him, and then smiling, offering a small wave.
He knew too well that particular sadness swimming in her dark blue eyes, the exact sort of tension in her shoulders.
Tanzel saw the same in his mirror every day.
-
The trade season kept the Cooperative families happily busy, another successful year passing by. Tanzel was now familiar with Emelia’s son, an energetic ten year old called Zaine, playing with the other children when not performing daily chores and light work. A helper, that one, willing to lend a hand as needed.
If he kept busy enough, he wouldn’t have to dwell on his pain, Tanzel knew, from watching his own boys.
Emelia’s daughter was a helper too, but she was quiet, and rarely left her mother’s side, unless she was with the old teacher, Shovanna. Still, Aeryn seemed like a good, hard-working child, who otherwise played or read silently, only rarely joining the other children’s games. Some folks whispered about the girl not being quite right in the head—what unhindered child made such little sound?—but everything Tanzel saw showed a bright, helpful girl, sometimes frustrated by her own silence.
He recognized the hurt in her, too. He saw it in his own daughters.
It was their last night in Radz-at-Han. In the morning—late, after tonight’s merrymaking with their neighbors and those of the Cooperative who would stay through the rainy season—most of them would make the trek up the coast to their little village, and the cycle would begin anew. Tanzel was eager to return to the quiet of Davarresh, after months in the city.
He was not so eager to join in the drinking, feasting, and dancing going on in the square outside the Cooperative’s compound. He put in a brief appearance for propriety’s sake, nursing a single drink while smiling politely and speaking to a few business partners and good friends. He soon slipped away, as had been his wont for the last few years. He just didn’t have the heart for it anymore.
As he found his excuse to return to the storehouse, he saw he wasn’t the only one.
Emelia was in one of the stalls belonging to her family, leaning on a stack of chocobo feedbags. Her hands gripped the canvas, her hunched shoulders stiff. Her long, dark hair hid her face, but he heard her sniffle. He made certain his boots made noise and she straightened, quickly swiping her face before turning with her usual dazzling smile.
“Oh. Hello, Tanzel.”
He smiled in return, but didn’t bother with his own mask. “Hello, Emelia. Not feeling up to the party?”
Her smile faltered. “I...no,” she said, letting the mask drop now. “Not really.”
Tanzel nodded. “Me neither.” He pretended to think for a moment. “Come on.”
She raised a brow. “To where?”
“Somewhere we won’t have to deal with well-meaning friends and their platitudes,” he said bluntly, but gently, heading away from the entrance and the festivities outside.
After a brief moment, he heard her light step follow after him.
He paused in his family stall long enough to grab a couple small, brown bottles from under the counter, that he had not yet packed on purpose. Then he led her to the stairs, and the winding climb up past the third story, taking her hand to help her up onto the roof.
The city glittered and gleamed around them, color and lights rioting under the starry heavens. It was a sight he could never tire of, and from the way Emelia sucked in a breath, it was one she had nearly forgotten, and had not yet taken the time to reacquaint herself with since returning home.
Tanzel and Emelia sat on the edge of the roof, opposite of the party up front, looking out over the city. He popped open one of the bottles and handed it to her, then took the other for himself. Emelia wrinkled her nose as she took a swig.
“Ugh, you and Jin still have terrible taste in booze,” she said, taking another sip.
“A man’s gotta have at least one vice,” Tanzel replied.
“Your grandfather’s favorite saying,” she said. “But he had better taste for proper liquor.” Her soft smile was genuine now, recalling those happy days of their youth.
“We can blame my uncles for being poor influences. Or your uncles. I forget.”
She laughed. Not as freely as she once might have, but genuinely, and that was good enough. “Remember when Uncle Fahr convinced you and Jin that a wish-granting djinn lived in a cave in the cliffs south of Yedlihmad?”
Tanzel chuckled. “I do, and the punishment we got for investigating—and stumbling on a nest of efts instead. You’d think that’d be punishment in itself!”
“Perhaps had something to do with leading them back to town.”
“Oh, perhaps. But you weren’t exactly a saint, either, as I recall.”
“I don’t know what you could mean.”
“That incident with the silk merchant and the fish comes to mind.”
“It was a crab, and that was a perfectly formulated plan for revenge.”
“My mistake. I do have to question your definition of ‘perfectly formulated’ though.”
“My plan was fine,” Emelia insisted with an exaggerated pout. “It was the crab and my target who were uncooperative.”
Tanzel laughed. They continued talking, recalling childhood and adolescent adventures and achievements, bright days when their futures had yet seemed limitless in possibility.
“And I remember,” Emelia said, as the contents of their respective bottles were low. “At your wedding, my brothers were so—” She stopped suddenly, looking away. “I’m sorry.”
“What for? If it was about the pranks they pulled on me just before we were to give our vows, I have it on good authority you had nothing to do with that.”
“I just,” she hesitated. “I heard what happened. And I haven’t taken the time yet…”
He leaned over and bumped her shoulder—not quite like when they were children, but in a similarly familiar manner. “It’s fine. I’ve heard the words often enough. Just like you have by now.”
She peered at him, absently batting him away, as she had done when a girl and he and her brother had pestered her like that. “Doesn’t it still...Are you…”
“Yes, it hurts,” Tanzel replied quietly. He looked out over the city again. “I’m not sure it will ever stop hurting. I might have lost myself in a pile of these bottles, if not for my children.” He smiled. “Rashae’s so much like her mother. Looks like her more and more, too.”
“Zaine looks like his father,” Emelia whispered. “And they both have his eyes.”
“Blessed reminders,” Tanzel said. “At least, that’s what everyone tells me. And on good days, I agree with them.”
“And on bad ones?” She didn’t quite look at him.
“I curse the gods for such a constant cruelty. Then I continue on, trying not to feel guilty, because what else can I do?”
He saw her bite her lip and nod ever so slightly.
“Still,” Tanzel continued, finishing his drink. “It doesn’t hurt to think of our wedding—not anymore. It’s still one of the best days of my life. Then our children were born, and those were blessed times too. At least until the little monsters started keeping us up all night,” he joked.
She chuckled, and he again took it as a victory. “At least you had family with you.”
“That did help.” He frowned. “Did he not?”
She shook her head. “His mother disapproved of me. So we settled in a village where he had friends, and...we did have good neighbors, who helped.”
“Fool woman, to not know what a gem of a daughter-in-law she had,” Tanzel sniffed.
“Thought I was Jin’s bratty little sister.”
“I never said you weren’t still that, too.” He bumped her again. She smiled wanly and shook her head. “You were happy though, weren’t you, Emelia?”
Her face crumpled. “Mostly. I loved him enough to stay in that cold, colorless land—I wanted to come home for years, but he didn’t want to leave, and now...” She leaned forward, face in her hands.
Tanzel rubbed her back for a time, letting her crying, saying nothing. Eventually she calmed, taking a shaky breath, and accepting his handkerchief to wipe her eyes and nose.
“Tell me about Coerthas,” he finally said. “It can’t have been all terrible, if you stayed for so long.”
“It’s all...tangled up in memories of him.”
“Of course it is. But the good outweighs the bad, doesn’t it?” As she considered that, he continued. “That wretched moment cannot overshadow all the time proceeding it. It’s a disservice to them and the joy they brought us. The children they left with us. The only thing that comes close to helping is remembering the times we laughed and loved. That one terrible day can’t take away the rest.”
They were silent for a long while.
“It had its own beauty,” Emelia finally said, voice hushed. “More stark, the mountains swooping over the vales. In Springtime suddenly the fields would go from gray and brown to a lush green and the flowers would bloom like rainbows fallen from the sky. We’d walk along the sheep paths and deer tracks…”
He listened, as she described the idyllic life of a Coerthan farm family—not that they hadn’t known hardship, and he understood her sighing about little Aeryn going through clothes and shoes like water, his Rashae was too similar—but what began in fits and starts soon fell into familiar bardic story rhythms as she told stories until they were both laughing over her children’s antics, her neighbors’ strange foreign actions, and her happier memories of her husband.
The bells chimed thrice, startling them both. The sounds of the party up front had long since faded, though there were still a few revelers wearily talking and stumbling themselves and others to bed. Tanzel stood and stretched, offering Emelia a hand up. She took it, and continued in to give him a tight hug. He returned it, and they stood like that for a long moment.
“Thank you, Tan,” she said, still leaning on him. “I wish...I wish you didn’t understand. But I’m,” she hesitated again.
“But I do. And I’m here, when you need to talk. Or just get away from others who say things, without knowing it how we do.”
She nodded against his chest, then, with a deep exhale, stepped away. “Shovanna said she’d stay with the children, and they should all three be asleep, but I ought to check on them.”
“Mine were probably up too late and getting into mischief until their grandmothers caught them,” Tanzel said. “I’ll get an earful in the morning.”
“So you’ll do as when we were children, and you and Jin used to blame me to try to keep out of trouble.”
“Ah, you’ve caught on to my dastardly plan.”
“Next time, consult someone whose plans are perfect,” she said, affecting a haughty sniff.
“If I find someone like that, I’ll let you know,” he replied, laughing as she bapped his arm.
He helped her off the roof and into the stairwell, and they made their way down in the dark, still joking. They parted at the base, he heading to his family quarters, Emelia to her family’s. He glanced back before stepping inside. She had also stopped, and waved to him.
Tanzel returned the wave before Emelia vanished behind the door. He felt better than he had in awhile. If this pain he carried, and how he was learning to live with it, could help his childhood friend...well, it was far from worth it, but it was something useful, at least. Maybe.
He wished it hadn’t taken this sort of wretched circumstance to reunite them. To make her more than Jin’s bratty little sister, but someone who understood, and needed to be understood herself.
Tanzel shook his head, disposed of the bottles, and continued on to bed. Morning would come too soon and a lot of work with it.
He dreamed of his favorite days with his wife, and then of youthful days playfully teasing his friend’s little sister.

hi ossie maybe im taking a mod too seriously but i can not for the life of me figure out how emelia (the core you meet in revolution) knows what a roomba is. she doesnt recognize aperture because shes been out “so long”, and when she learns about what she missed theres no mention of the events of portal 2, just the first game so i assume it takes place between the two. roomba didnt come out until 2002, how does she know what a roomba is. like i just feel like she shouldnt know what that is i feel like thats something that wouldnt have been around before her brain got scanned.
am i thinking too hard about this?
im gonna be honest in saying the devs probably didn’t think too hard about it either considering this unused(?) image in the files of roomba stirling exists:

Tiala and Gaz’s Children
Ok. I know I haven’t make any love stories about Tiala and Gaz YET. But I couldn’t help but to think about of what their future children would look like! So here is what I’ve been thinking!
Tiala’s x Gaz’s Children: Features
Emelia (eh-meh-lee-ah) Garrick - Emelia is the eldest daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Garrick. She has Tiala’s face and her hair too. She also has Gaz’s skin color.
Jessie Garrick - Jessie is the 2nd eldest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Garrick. She has Gaz’s face and Tiala’s hair. She also has Tiala’s skin color.
Hōne (hoh-neh) Garrick - Hōne is the middle child. The son of Mr. and Mrs. Garrick. He has Gaz’s face and his hair. Same for his skin color too.
Tiana Garrick - Tiana is the 2nd youngest daughter of Mr. And Mrs. Garrick. She has Tiala’s face and skin color with Gaz’s nose and hair (but longer).
Sina (see-nah) Garrick - Sina is the youngest daughter of Mr. and Mrs. Garrick. The baby girl has Tiala’s nose, hair and got Gaz’s face. She also got Gaz’s skin color.
Tiala x Gaz Children’s Personality and Facts Check:
Emelia Garrick:
- She has both of her father’s and mother’s hardworking personality. Since she’s the eldest. It’s her duty and responsibility to take the role as the older child.
- Smartness is her thing. Got that from her dad. She’s also an A+ student!
-Emelia always helped out most of the time at home and at her mother's bakery shop.
- She really enjoys watching Dr. Who with her dad and would talk nonstop about it with him too!
- She also loves to learn her mother’s native language. So her mom and grandma taught her most of it and she improves it very well!
- Emelia also enjoys hearing about her mother's ancestors and would use it for her presentation most of the time.
Jessie Garrick:
- Jessie has her competitive personality from her dad. Always up for the challenge.
- She enjoys playing sports with both of her parents. Even playing Rugby with her mom.
- She’s the Captain in both rugby and volleyball for girls.
-Jessie is also a rebel against some older folks when she was a little girl. But NEVER and I mean NEVER against her parents. (Tiala had taught her one way of NOT behaving like that)
- Her favorite Uncle is Kanoa and Soap.
Hōne Garrick:
- Named after his late Uncle, Hōne.
- He has his mom’s personality of being judgmental with every person he sees. (Only if he finds them suspicious or weird)
- He even has that protective personality from BOTH of his parents. Mostly being protective with his little sister.
- You’ll be surprised when he grows up he won’t even know why most girls always swoon for him. He didn’t know that he has his dad’s charming looks.
- He always ask his grandpa (Tiala’s dad) to tell him the time when he went in the military.
- Violence is always his answer. Unless it’s necessary. (He either gets scolded by his mom or got an approval from her. His dad approves it sometimes that depends if it's the right reason.)
-Hōne also likes to hang around with his Uncle Sami or Ghost.
Tiana Garrick:
- A mute child who could only respond by writing on her board or doing British Sign Language.
- She’s a bit shy and will always stay beside either with Emelia or Hōne. Whenever her parents aren't around.
- She always gets bully most of the time because of her not speaking (Hōne has dealt with them…he needs to stop hanging with his Uncle Sami and Ghost)
- Enjoys drawing. Was planning to become an artist or making a comic.
-Aunty Agnes and Uncle Soap are her favorite people. Since the two can draw and would LOVE to teach Tiana to know more about it!
- Doesn’t really enjoy loud noises. A bit sensitive to it so she wore her headphones most of the time.
Sina Garrick:
- A baby.
- An adorable little baby.
- Who enjoy naps and being fed.
- Always cry for her mommy.
- Everyone in the family will kill anyone if she’s ever HARMED.
So after of these two getting married. Tiala had retired from being the Captain of the Marines and leave the leading of the WTF to Captain Harrison (Who he was use to be the Lieutenant). While Gaz is still serving in the SAS which leaves Tiala taking care of their kids.
Tiala and Gaz decided to move into London after their honeymoon. Somewhere near the base is at since Gaz is still active on duty. And he was always been called in so he has like a short deployment. So he had tried to spend as much time with his kids and his wife before being departed back to the base.
Meanwhile, Tiala had opened a small bakery and could finally work in peace. That her hands can now use them for making things something wonderful instead of for destroying things. She wouldn't mind for her kids to hang around in her bakery while she works.
The two had finally made a life that they'll live together forever along with their wonderful children. And Tiala had finally found a man who truly love and cared for her dearly.
And that's all I got for now! I might edit it again if I needed too! Thank you guys for reading this far! Love ya, peles!
And now, I must tag these peeps!
